Mission Press is a religious institution owned by the Conventual Franciscan Friars in Zambia. Located at the Franciscan Centre in Kansenshi, Ndola, Mission Press is committed to providing quality printing and publishing services.

Mission Press invites applications from suitably qualified, creative, and motivated individuals for the position of Graphic Designer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing creative design concepts, preparing print-ready materials, coordinating with clients, and ensuring high-quality output throughout the design and production process.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

▪️ Manage client projects from typesetting and graphic design through to printing and final production.
▪️ Engage with clients to understand their design requirements, timelines, budgets, and expectations.
▪️ Interpret clients’ ideas and translate them into effective and visually appealing designs.
▪️ Develop creative concepts, graphics, layouts, and imposition pages for print production.
▪️ Select appropriate fonts, images, colours, and layouts to ensure readability and meet the needs of the target audience.
▪️ Determine the size, style, and arrangement of text and illustrative materials.
▪️ Prepare design samples and proofs for client review and approval.
▪️ Keep clients informed of project progress, respond to feedback, and explain design choices where necessary.
▪️ Review final layouts and recommend improvements to ensure quality and accuracy.
▪️ Stay up to date with current graphic design trends, technologies, and software.
▪️ Liaise with printers and the production team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
▪️ Demonstrate creativity, initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
