Job Advert - Accountant Required in Solwezi Town

Position: Accountant
Location: Solwezi, Zambia (Local International Mine Project)
Contract Type: One year Contract-Renewable

A labour hire company is seeking an Accountant to provide daily financial oversight for our labour hire contract at the Local International Mine in Solwezi. The successful candidate will represent our interests on-site, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

▪️Track all project expenditures and maintain financial records.
▪️Prepare and file operating reports (hours worked, measured works).
▪️Develop payroll schedules and monitor actual working hours of technicians.
▪️Review and monitor invoices submitted to FQM Kansanshi.
▪️Record all cash inflows and outflows.
▪️Provide timely financial updates to Senior management.

Requirements:

▪️Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; professional certification (ZICA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
▪️3–5 years’ experience in project accounting, payroll, or financial reporting.
▪️Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems.
▪️Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
▪️A hands-on person who is prepared to get their hands dirty
▪️Integrity, reliability, and ability to work independently.
▪️A mature attitude and can embrace responsibility
